Course Content

The content of the course is: (1) The regional human rights protection systems, (2) The European Convention on Human Rights.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able:

  • to comprehend how regional human rights regimes work
  • to go through leading cases of regional human rights courts
  • to comprehend the interrelation between civil and social rights
  • to come through legal constructs like the positive obligations doctrine, as well as the doctrine of equivalent protection.
